One wonders if anyone at NYU is allowed to mention that Alexander Hamilton, Henry Clay, Abraham Lincoln, and TR were all nationalists, or if this would be too triggering

That's not what the linked article says. It says that printing your ad ("In prominent lettering across the top, the ad read 'Nationalism is a good thing'") "on the back of our paper would have marginalized people of color on our campus and our staff."

David, might it be the people who don't know the difference between nationalism and racism who are to blame, not the academic attempting to explain the difference?
