You can judge people on (their own) actions that actually cause harm to others. You cannot judge groups of people associated only by some superficial quality based on your observations of a tiny number of people doing stuff you were taught disdain for.
I'm glad you're able to identify important characteristics of about 3.5 billion people from what you see of three people, esp. when none of that harms you or is any of your business.

You should put some serious thought into why you were taught disdain and moral judgement for people who might have substance abuse problems, and use of words like "degenerate" that's literally out of nazi vocabulary.
