CEOs of big tech companies: You almost certainly have incels as employees. What are you going to do about it?
-
-
Are you insane?
-
Surprise: two things can be true at the same time. The hyper-aggressive alpha bros and violently entitled incels, both parts of different extremes, can be toxic masculinity.
-
Two things can, indeed, be true at the same time, but these two things aren’t true.
-
How so? I'm genuinely curious. I'd say they both come from a society that instills into men and boys what they think they deserve, and what they're entitled to. The outcomes are different for sure, but they both come from the same vein
-
For starters, American society doesn’t at all teach boys and men with extremely poor social skills that they’re “entitled” to attention from women.
-
I see, I was thinking about a different flavor of incels, especially the violently entitled ones. Those seem to be the "nice guys" who feel angry, cheated, and robbed after doing "everything right." I think this is the problem, toxic group, not the one you mentioned.
-
How many guys do you think that is? Are you ALSO asking companies to screen for radicalized Muslims? If no, why not? How about misandry? The incel hunt is too much ‘outrage of the hour’
-
I never said screen for anything, but if we're comparing number of deaths by terrorists in US then domestic terrorists take the cake by a landslide. And many of those seem incel adjacent. I agree it's outrage of the hour, but it does point to larger societal issues.

It's a feminist term invented as shorthand for "I can't get a date, all the good men are taken".
