I actually feel bad for Zuckerberg. He and Facebook aren't exactly innocent here, but let's be clear: 1. Nobody forced ANYONE to use Facebook. 2. You didn't pay for it. 3. You were ALWAYS the product. 4. The goal was ALWAYS to sell you more ads and monetize your data. Period.

Facebook didn't steal my data. I locked it down and never enabled Platform. That doesn't matter. They stole my democracy and my world that's based upon some minimal level of common agreed-upon fact. No one had the choice to opt-out of being victim of that grand theft.

Anyone who's looking at this as a crime against the individuals whose data was stolen/mined and dismissing the outrage based on that is completely missing the point. It's a crime against society/civilization as a whole.
