One of the things I cannot do is use my platform to advocate political violence of any form. I don't talk about "punching Nazis" or anything, really.

But anyhow, where I was going with this before I got derailed by a phone call: I grew up in a world where a little bit of fisticuffs to keep someone in line was the norm. My father and grandmother both taught me to punch a bully in the nose.

I do not/cannot advocate for political violence as a means of resolution of differences of opinion. But that doesn't mean I've forgotten Grammy's lesson, either.

It's only political violence if the other party's disagreement with you is over a political matter, like how taxes should be levied. If their "disagreement" is over your right (or somebody else's) to exist, I don't see how any principles about political violence apply.
