Good lord, Dropbox uses every gross tactic I can think of when you try to cancel. Hiding the cancel links, trying to trick you into exiting before you really cancel, making you confirm four or five times, etc. I was gonna just cancel; now, I'll discourage others from using it.
Dropbox is awful. My first and only experience was having a client's client try to send me files via it, and being unable to get access to the file I was sent without installing their malware on 3 devices first (vs using web ui).

The only reason I poked at them is that they have a genuine Linux client, whereas I have to use Insync for Google Photos. But even there, there's an open-source OneDrive client that is better than the official Dropbox one.

A closed-source client that has access to all your files and probably even wants to run as root is hardly what I'd call "genuine Linux client". I'd call it malware.

Fair. It's moot at this point anyway.
