ezmlm was made in a time when people at least tried to respect (bad, insufficient) e-mail standards. Today's e-mail architecture is patched up with glue and 2-3 incompatible initiatives, and mail is less reliable than ever, so unfortunately, ezmlm is annoying about it, yes.

It might not even be ezmlm's fault I guess, but rather the broken smtpd that's accepting the malformed list mails to begin with. But if the smtpd does that, ezmlm needs to fix them before resending...
