Is there any concerted effort to create notarized (traditional paper or digitally) records of critical factual content so that the future can distinguish it from forgeries?
Reflecting on the rise of mass misinformation and "post-fact"/"post-truth" reality, what concrete measures should we be taking to preserve present-day facts for future generations?

I'm thinking things like "the snapshot of Wikipedia at timestamp X has sha512 hash Y", but much wider in scope than just WP or something.
