Back on the quest to learn more about programming FPGAs with a #TinyFPGA. This time I'm trying out #IceStudiopic.twitter.com/5YdGFJbTk5

Well a pi0 is just $5 if you can find one, but aren't there cheap usb devices you can use too? Or does it have a weird programming interface?
Their programming SW is for raspberry pi only: https://www.mocomakers.com/basic-setup-of-the-fipsy-fpga/ … And they tell you on that wiki to buy a "Raspberry Pi 3 Media Center Kit" for more than $50 and Jumper Wires for more than $10. (See Amazon links on that wiki page.)
I'm sure one could easily enough hack together a different programming scheme. But considering that this targets beginners I don't think that it is a reasonable option for that target audience.
Some of the statements on their kickstarter page are imo outright lies. Modifying HDMI signals in real time with a 256 LUT device? And ANNs? I don't think so! And "all you need is the FGPA device" is obviously wrong as you need a raspberry pi (or something similar) to program it.pic.twitter.com/ksTEPBdJ5U
My nickpick is that the video presenter doesn't seem to know how to pronounce "Atmel"
Yeah the guy in the presentation talks about processing 4k video! not exactly realistic given their hardware, a bit deceptive really..
