Deleting your Facebook account to fight their takeover of the public sphere is like taking your house off the grid to fight global warming. It neither addresses the problem nor shields you from its consequences

Organizing... through what? Its not like the other widely used social networks are any less evil
-
Organizing means collective action to enact laws & regulation, impose economic & political cost, ...
-

-
Who said without social media? The whole point of the original tweet was that "delete FB" is an incompetent response.
-
Well using social media to organize a social media boycott seems counterintuitive to me
-
Nobody said anything about boycott except that it's a stupid response. Organizing does not mean organizing boycotts.
-
It's not a stupid response: one should be allowed to participate in a protest without the of need of marching to the white house
-
Yes, you're allowed to do things that are stupid & unproductive, like the original "going off grid" analogy. Nobody's stopping you.

And flooding them with false information ! E.g. multiple accounts with contradictory information and false data. Just avoid giving them you full profile and prevent them from reproducing your "avatar". Same goes for Google, Apple and Amazon !
-
Disabling "Platform" when you use it denies them a lot of their opportunity to profit from your use.
