FWIW, I read @Cartier_Alex's question as sincere. I just couldn't resist this pithy response.https://twitter.com/polotek/status/970087555294113793 …

Let me give a real answer to the question of how to make cryptocurrency more diverse. Though this one will be equally as unsatisfying.

First of all, reparations wouldn't be that hard. It should be easier with Bitcoin than with USD, because it's unregulated and untaxed. Just give your Bitcoin to ppl who aren't white men.https://twitter.com/Cartier_Alex/status/970093066563543040?s=19 …

People balk at reparations because they assume it's complicated. It's really not. You just pick a scheme that seems fair and you actively redistribute wealth. That's it.

There's all this gnashing of teeth about reparations, but it's because white men will never agree that there is a "fair" scheme for taking away their wealth. That's the blocker. It's not complexity.

I think it's fair to ask why the cryptocurrency space isn't more diverse. Many ppl have argued today that there don't seem to be any visible barriers to entry. Ppl who aren't white men are free to buy Bitcoin and many do.

Buying BTC isn't how you profit from it. It's how you become one of the suckers. Convincing ppl to buy mining rigs, or to park their coins on your exchange, is how you profit, and those have all the usual privilege/gatekeeping issues.
