Obviously using financial choke points for drug war (vs just ending it) is stupid & inefficient, but control on, or at least visibility of/consequences for, transfer of huge amounts of money is absolutely necessary to avoid horrible dystopia.

You can get ppl to stop buying & selling power via drugs just by decriminalization. You can't ever get people to stop buying & selling power via campaign contributions, favorable legislation, and (worst of all) advertising/paid disinformation.
