I don’t understand your reaction. Of course there are different factions here. Of course there is a pernicious element on the liberal end of the spectrum. I’m not sure why you’d be resistant to that idea.

I’m not dismissing you. I’m just wondering what’s to be gained by pretending these folks are all the same. I don’t think we know nearly as much about the alt-right as we pretend to. And the idea there are also other movements is not ridiculous.

(American) white supremacist can be initially classified into two categories, which stages the foundational differences: those who realize they are, and those who don't. Failing to acknowledge this is one of the major failings of the left.
