What % of ABP users know they need to dig in the settings and turn off "acceptable ads"? It's a major problem when an adblocker is funded by the trashfire industry it's supposed to be shutting down. Incentive is not to do their best job.

I'm pretty sure I was slapped in the face by a web page explaining this when I started using it. Anyway, ignorance of the tools you use does not mean that these tools are bad.

Did it explain "you will still be tracked and you are still vulnerable to malware delivered by ads"? If not, it's misleading.

It said that some ads, deemed acceptable by the authors, would be shown. I said "fuck, no". When I install an ad blocker, I want it to block ads, period. So, I told it to block all adds, and it's been doing it very well.
