I concur. In a parallel trend, I for one am glad that Internet browsers have made 32GiB workstations seem ordinary; one can do lots of useful static analysis with that. It was only a few years ago I wondered whether crossing the chasm from 32- to 64-bit pointers was even worth it

I agree to the extent that my understanding is the mobile GPU space (phones, tablets etc) is seeing the biggest change and benefit versus the laptop/desktop discrete market. Is that about right?
