If you want to sell a software product but it’s not built and you don’t have customers lined up yet, and have to choose: 1. Spend time coding the product 2. Spend time selling it and marketing it As long as you know you can build it, #2 is a FAR better use of your time.

At that point, expand company expertise. Get a developer who can do it, hire, exchange for future profits / equity.
