Sortix survives a recursively remove on the root filesystem just fine. Of course you won't have any files or programs left but that's beside the point.
Linux with systemd doesn't because it auto-mounts some EFI crap that bricks your system when removed.

I heard of that but didn't that get fixed? But yeah that's a pretty bad case. Also a good example of why everything shouldn't be a file.
