I think the questioner got unfairly dogpiled there. They were curious about something and tried to look at it, not realizing that the implementation details of their system don't necessarily match the books.

Most Indian universities recommend books written by Indian authors. These authors try to explain output of code which is UB as per the standards. The students need to un-learn most of those things when they enter the industry.

To make things worse, many consultancy firms like Infosys and TCS ask questions based on these books and expect you to explain the output of things like j = i++ + ++i (and interviewers don't know about UB) :)
