GitHub error: "Repositories cannot be transferred to the original owner"

Nope. It might have something to do with how they redirect from the old location to the new location but still can't see a problem with moving it back. Tried making + deleting a repository with the same name to clear out of the old cruft to allow moving back and that worked.

No idea on what exactly they mean by original owner either. If you move from account A to account B to account C to account D not sure if it prevents moving back to just C or A, B and C or how many redirects they will preserve. Pretty sure that error is new, we regularly do this.

Repository no longer used in current version of CopperheadOS -> moved to CopperheadOS-archive. Becomes used again? Moved back. All references are left pointing to CopperheadOS and they redirect to CopperheadOS-archive if it was moved. It still works fine with the workaround.

GitHub doesn't have any way to namespace stuff within an organization so we use different organizations as namespaces as do many others. Not sure what they hope to accomplish by adding a check for moving a repository back but it's irritating.
