Language lawyer question #2 for the day: find chapter and verse of the C standard that either guarantees that sizeof(array of n Type) == n*sizeof(Type) or allows otherwise.
-
-
"Another use of the sizeof operator is to compute the number of elements in an array: sizeof array / sizeof array[0]"
-
#Technically that just implies that the amount of tail padding must be strictly less than the size of an element…! -
NOW *THAT'S* WHAT I CALL A LANGUAGE LAWYER.
-
When they bring me before the international court of programming languages, I want
@UINT_MIN to represent me. -
As long as the judge isn't the type who holds a grudge against lawyers who bring up irrelevant stuff... ;-)
-
It's the international court of programming languages. The judge will read a list of charges ("5 counts of unlawful discrimination against Unum and Rational..."), I'll argue that deciding the case is isomorphic to the halting problem, we'll get sidetracked, the end.
-
"hung jury"
