an easy thought experiment is to see how many of your problems go away if you ditch clang/gcc and use tcc for everything

for many big projects things would be noticeably better but the heavy hitters, memory safety and races, don't change a lot

I really doubt you'd notice any practical benefit. Counting lack of warnings and ssp, and tcc bugs, likely the opposite.
