The problem is it would create a monopoly. SawStop has has some vague patents and has sued everyone else who's tried to make a "safe" saw.

If SawStop really wants this kind of tech deployed for safety reasons, they should be suing for % of profits, not injunction to stop sales.

They're trying to force other manufacturers into 8% licensing agreements. If it was really about safety they'd public domain patents.
