Possibly controversial opinion: most busses (computing, not public transit) are an awful concept for security and should be eliminated .
This especially applies to CAN, DBus, and many/most cpu-connected memory bus designs.

Actually I'm not sure if DBus fully qualifies as a "bus", but it's awful anyway.

By "bus" I mean an architecture where each connected device is responsible for determining whether it's being addressed...
