For some reason GMail app is failing to sync right with microG core, and I suspect it's some missing perm from latter not being a system app

Anyway if you don't use GMail or other Google apps I don't think there's any reason to want/need microG core to be a system app.

I mean, I expect to use Lyft, Slack other Google-heavy apps. I had them working for the past week; can't remember if UnifiedNlp was system!

I read that UnifiedNlp needs system, but Google Maps is working fine for me without. I don't use Lyft or Slack so can't say for them.
