This seems like something pre-sale home inspectors ought to be trained on spotting/identifying/reporting...

No incentive until it's a code / insurance issue.

Code/insurance probably doesn't care about listening devices spying on you, only risk of remote attacks causing fire, etc.

But these kind of inspectors are supposed to be serving the interests of party who hires them, usually the buyer.
