What kinds of attacks? Physical ones where you left device unattended? HW implants? Malicious SW injection? Just reading data?

Just pretending there's no internal storage & putting everything on USB3 micro-dongle you keep on your person buys you a lot of safety.

Passwords, session cookies. Also modern laptops have too few ports. I need one at least for ssh key.

In theory you can use a write-protecting USB condom to verify the bootloader from multiple untrusted boxes too if concerned about tampering.
