Seriously this is no big deal. Wifi passwords are not secrets, just mild protection against random jerks wasting bandwidth.

Actually serious. If your security model treats local network as privileged it's broken.
Yeah, well, reality differs. But hell, "if apple does that, it must be secure!"

In reality the wifi password is always on a post-it if not a big sign. :-)
