CC idle: though, wanting to compile Dhrystone unmodified is making a case for adding support for some older/K&R style syntax/features...
Don't bother. The original unmodified code is nonsense, should compile down to a nop on a good compiler.

possible reason it claims my PC is like 17000 MIPS or some such?... but, looking for some more test-code to throw at the compiler.
-
All the UB and unused results need to be fixed before Dhrystone has any hope of being meaningful.
-
But even then it's not designed to distinguish compiler quality from machine level performance.
-
And -O0 is not a solution because you just measure all the gratuitous inefficiency crap the compiler does at -O0.
-
could give a relative comparison between my compiler and GCC though, or maybe point out bugs I may have missed, ...
-
some of my other usual test cases (ex: my JPEG test, ...) are hindered because my SH emulator lacks access to external files (for results).
-
well, for better or worse, now parses K&R style decls. not going to bother with old-style struct semantics or similar though...
