SH4 CC status: working some on "long long" arithmetic; notes register space doesn't go very far; mostly doing ops load+op+store...
I have no bg in compiler design, but you probably want 2 stages of ASTs, one for the HL language, and one expanded reflecting machine limits

ok; as noted, the SH backend was mostly based on the FRVM backend, which was originally designed mostly to run on x86-64; not a perfect fit.

ex: on x86-64; 64 and 128 bit types fit nicely in GPRs and SSE registers; but here just sorta trying to pretend that SH can do similar...
