If by crap you mean traditionally have better service then sure, I may not like what they do but even I know Verizon is better than ATT.

Not having your phone work anywhere but the US, and not being able to move carriers without buying a new phone, is my idea of crap.

I can use my Verizon phone anywhere in the world, and I don't pay a dime extra for it, and I can if I choose move it to ATT.

You can insert a SIM card for a carrier that only does 2G and have it work?

Replying to @envygeeks @RichFelker and
btw, you can't even do that with a GSM phone in America, nobody in America that is a large carrier supports 2G still.

Questions about which carriers a modem works with, or which are crap, are rather pointless to the topic at hand.
