I dunno about that. I would not want my child's daycare environment/friendships to be contingent on my staying with same employer.

This is basically the same reason why health insurance as an employment benefit is an awful idea. Just increase pay to cover the expense.

Health insurance is useful as an employee benefit because health insurance for individuals is a market for lemons.

$6k max OOP (much less $3k or so with silver or gold) is not a big deal with what employers in our industry ought to be paying...
