Did you know sites you visit can install persistent code able to run in the background based on push? Seems like a surprise to most people.

Hopefully. It seems follow the cookie rules in Chrome so disabling 3rd party cookies might disable third party service workers, etc

Also get cleared out when cookies / site settings are cleared, but otherwise it seems like it can persist indefinitely.
