Pixel XL is 1440 x 2560 5.5" AMOLED v. 1080 x 1920 5" and has significantly bigger battery, yet it's comparable to 128GB flash.
No, the fs type isn't even exposed externally. They could use ext4 if they wanted.

ok. then it makes no sense... not really much experience w/ newer phones, mine just uses a FAT32 SDcard (16GB).
-
Phones don't use internal sdcards anymore and Android can adopt expandable storage (sdcard slots) as encrypted ext4.
-
That's not relevant to the original topic which was about temporarily attaching extra portable flash drives though.
-
Adoptable storage is meant for expansion slots that are then treated as a form of internal storage not external drives.
-
ok. mine has an SD under the battery next to the SIM card. doesn't support USB drives; so, dunno...
-
Unless this is something quite ancient that would be an expansion slot not the regular internal storage (ext4 / f2fs).
-
Original topic is neither internal storage or expansion slots where adoptable storage fits well. Those aren't FAT32.
