What's the least shitty, most linux compatible inexpensive small laptop I can pick up & quickly setup from Best Buy? Need replacement today.

Can you easily replace the SSD with a huge one?
-
Sorry for asking twitter but it's hard to do research from Android browser on phone.
-
generally SSD is soldered. Enable developer mode, run shell commands to enable seabios
-
Debian wiki says that one has replaceable SSD.

Look at the procedure in https://wiki.debian.org/InstallingDebianOn/Acer/C740/unstable … for example (not sure if this $250 one is a good deal though).
-
They tend to require taking off a panel to disable write protect. Not really any worse than installing an upgraded SSD.
-
Oh, that's no problem. Wiki says nonfree wifi driver or firmware? Is the driver in upstream kernel but just needs fw blob?
-
It just wants firmware-iwlwifi or whatever.
