The threat of a muslim registry is much deeper than just compiling a table of names. Sure, Google an FB have a lot of that information.

Any such registry would have to interface with the NCIC, which is run by the DOJ. A unique identifier would likely be required.

This would mean updating every law enforcement system in the country. NCIC runs off old DB2 systems, from what I can tell.

It requires active effort by technologists to make it happen. Technologists can actively refuse to partake in those efforts.

They can be boycotted by the rest of the industry, needed copyright & patent licenses denied to them, etc.
