If you can't manually configure the port forwarding you want, you're not qualified to manage the risks of allowing inbound conns.

This isn't intended to be elitist and imply that you should have to edit config files or use command lines...

High-level router UIs are fine. The manual/explicit act of allowing access is what's important.

Same principle applies to app permissions. Automatic or click-through is not ok. Everything needs to be conscious opt-in.
