Just want to point out that an ad-blocker with root access is *probably* a bad idea. Especially when it's fetching stuff from the internet.
The problem is that the vendor-provided browser maliciously omits safe, internal adblocking support b/c the vendor sells ads.

We can do whatever we want with Chromium though. Just need people interested in investing some time into work on it.

It would be nice if it simply had extension support. The code should nearly all be there since it has them elsewhere already.

Yes. But the clear conflict of interest and the OS vendor's intentional exposure of users to harm can't be emphasized enough.

It's not clear why they don't support extensions on Android. It might not actually be because business interests blocked it.
