Sigh, Linux "runs out of entropy" even on machines with RDRAND support, ie hardware randomness.
The whole /dev/random "running out of entropy" thing is just magical thinking. Use urandom.

I know I know. Thats why I put it in quotes. But it doesn't seem to even seed properly even when you have RDSEED support.

Sounds like a good idea. Also send bug reports upstream for anything using /dev/random. It's cargo-cult nonsense.
