Still need to pick a non-commercial usage license for nougat-release. Any external contributions will use the normal Android licensing.
Seems like you wouldn't find out when they pirate your no-commercial-use version either. Only FOSS community loses.

The companies we're trying to get money from aren't going to pirate it. They just need a clear reason that they have to pay us.

We're willing to upstream *any* of our code if AOSP or OpenBSD wants it, they only have to ask us and we'll submit patches.

Still going to be submitting stuff we think they'll take just as often too. There will be more when this leads to more money.

Really didn't want to do this, but after 2 years, it's at the point where it needs to start being sustainable or it can't go on.

And... we think this is quickly going to turn into revenue for us. We're in contact with several companies, and we needed this.
