@RichFelker So, just wondering; are you part of the teams preparing the J-core/developing o1rk?
@cr1901 My understanding is that J-core source is very high-level compared to other open cpu core projects. There's no 64-bit ISA though.

@RichFelker *I* have no qualms about 32-bit. Anything to fight against Wirth's Law. but general consensus seems to be "64-bit or die" :/.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

@cr1901 SH5 attempted to be a 64-bit SH ISA, but SH5 was to SH something like what the Itanic was to x86. -
@cr1901 Making a 64bit ISA that's "just compat enough" that compilers clutter existing 32bit target trying to support both = recipe for crap -
@RichFelker What do you mean by clutter? I thought Itanic was completely incompatible? -
@cr1901 That part was about SH5, not Itanic. -
@RichFelker@cr1901 Roadmap now includes 64 bit strategy! https://twitter.com/jcoreeng/status/727088806852096001 … (We have less vague stuff here, but not finalized.)
