The latest release includes a setting in Security -> Advanced to disable granting dangerous permissions to legacy apps at install time.

@RichFelker Android's implementation of runtime permissions does that when it's feasible, but it doesn't work for all of the permissions. -
@RichFelker We can likely use fake data for most of the extensions that we'll end up making to the runtime permissions model though. -
@RichFelker The shared storage permission causes the most problems. One option would be pointing apps at a dummy private storage directory. -
@RichFelker Not sure how it would be able to handle toggling the permission on and off though... the fine details end up being tricky.
