@hanno If someone is going to debunk the study, it should be someone who does not benefit from the status quo, i.e. not a cis white dude.
This. I was disappointed with @FallenPegasus for doing that because of possibility for bias/conflict-of-interest.https://twitter.com/hanno/status/698885474736332800 …

@RichFelker@hanno Sad place we've ended up if anyone can't be honest for fear of offending. Truth always orthog to motives. -
@kevinbowling1@hanno No it's a sad place when men think the best use of their time is writing treatises on why a pro-women study was flawed -
@kevinbowling1@hanno And they know said treatises will be misused to attack the need for change rather than as call for new better studies.

@stribika@FallenPegasus@hanno Supposedly it had many flaws, but it's pretty telling when men put _that_ much effort into debunking a study -

@stribika@FallenPegasus@hanno No, sorry; Twitter is really not the best medium for this discussion. -
.
@RichFelker true, Twitter is a terrible medium for this sort of thing. Go write a@medium article making your case? -
@FallenPegasus Well 90% of my point is that it's ridiculous that we have a bunch of men spending way too much effort discussing this study.. -
@FallenPegasus ...and unwilling to spend the same effort finding & fixing what makes our projects/etc. hostile to underrepresented groups.
