thought: "time" in everyday sense is an abstraction for movement of sun, this is why it breaks so badly in software
@whitequark The problem is that time nerds don't understand this and think users should have to deal with SI seconds. That's awful UX.

@whitequark For any ordinary person a second is just the second-division (1/60 of 1/60) of hours, which are 1/24 of a day. -
@RichFelker the problem is not so much with relative as absolute time here, even absolute within a day
