I don't get the hate for d-bus. If it was a homegrown protocol on a raw TCP socket with 100% more buffer overflows, is it any better?
@whitequark A big part of the problem is that it's solving a problem that shouldn't be solved - providing ubiquitous RPC is bad.

@RichFelker (sure, a car isn't a desktop, but a car infotainment system is pretty close) -
@whitequark@richfelker the real issue is the lack of physical separation between the infotainment system and the ECU part of the CAN bus.
