compiler user A: why all these risky opts just for 10%?! compiler user B: why remove the opt? who cares if it's broken, it gives 2% on SPEC
@FioraAeterna My view is that compiler opts exist not to make code run faster, but to reduce risk that coders will write hacks for perf.
