Hand scheduling ~300 instructions for Cortex-A9. Surely a compiler should be better at this than me. Nope. Not even close.

@stephentyrone I remember writing lots of (good!) x86 asm for UTF-8 decoding in pre-musl libc, only to outdo it with C later.
