@landley It's not that FTMs are a bad idea, but that supporting excessive combinatorics of un[der]specified ones is a bad cost tradeoff. -
@landley The really cool change is that _DEFAULT_SOURCE lets you get back everything "exposed by default" when -std=c99 would suppress it. -
@RichFelker So it's almost _ALL_SOURCE, except not. -
@landley There's a pretty big difference. _ALL_SOURCE (formerly _GNU_SOURCE) exposes A LOT of namespace pollution and GNU breakage. -
@landley Breakage like replacing strerror_r with the GNU version that has a completely different signature from the standard function.
