Trying to get qemu to load an ELF file that prints "hello world". It's being stroppy.

How do I tell? I... think so? I'm going to have to pull out qemu's -s option and gdb target remote, aren't I?

I mean do the program headers in your ELF file reflect where you want it to be loaded at? Use readelf -l.

I use readelf -a, and yes. Don't really know what the memory map is though.

Look at the LOAD lines. Are the addresses reasonable physical addresses the program can be loaded and run at on the emulated machine?

The entry point of the a.out I built and the kernel vmlinux that boots is 0xc0000000 in both. (When I point Ttext at that.) No *
