Lots of parallels to the Mozilla CEO issue from a few years back... where a company figurehead behaves, in public (but notionally off company time), in a way that indicates lack of support for [or indeed, hostility towards] marginalized employees.https://twitter.com/kateconger/status/1047960306029215745 …

Mozilla inflicted a lot of needless harm on themselves there too, with company policy that theoretically forbade Eich or others from properly responding to the situation quickly. I wonder if they ever fixed their policies
-
(The policy was a weak excuse for it to begin with, but it definitely was bad policy that forbade openly engaging with people's concerns and addressing the issue directly, and people seemed to be attempting to follow it)

And appears to have rehabbed his public persona anyway.

Yeah, any idea wtf happened there? Did he do anything to make amends? Was there indication that his donation was "just" solicited by some douche with personal connections to him rather than personally motivated? Or did ppl just let him off for no reason?
-
Duckfino; I'm unaware of any amends, or of an apology.
