Random thought... any service with bonus/reward points (credit cards, banks, airlines etc.) should offer extra points to users who proactively increase their security posture. For example: "Enable two-factor for an additional 2,000 Delta miles".

That understanding is wrong. It's just a different framing of "people who meet the condition for 'reward' pay the standard price and others pay a penalty on top".
